It was a medical clinic at one of the Alem Guna churches this past June. A young girl, approximately 22 years old, came in with a sick baby. Boy, was he sick. At that time he was about 9 months old. He was about the size of a 3 month old and was obviously a Downs syndrome baby. His mother was so worried for his health and brought him to see our American doctor.

The Well House Nears Completion
As we approach the end of our 5 week stay here in Ethiopia, we are heartened by the progress that has been made on the “Well House” – A special place for the most destitute women who will soon live there .
The Women’s shelter, called the “Edna E Fansler House” is essentially ready to move into. We have 6 bedrooms ready—they just need to be decorated and the furnishings... read more
June Medical Clinic and Family Coun...
Dr Kris Crawford, from In His Image residency program in Tulsa, was the only doc on the mission trip with us. He saw over 250 patients in just 4 days of clinics in in 4 churches that we are currently, or hope to partner with soon. A major part of our strategy, outside the “Well House” is bringing to churches activities they value, as door openers to meet their neighbors. This allows them to... read more
The Nono Bole Story

A few months ago an evangelist stumbled onto them and has helped them plant a church in their village.
We, with the help of some Sunday School... read more

The doctor took care of him first. A team member witnessed to the man but he was too sick to respond. The man lay on the cot most of the day until family came to take him home.
A week later, people from... read more
Team Work at the Well House
We are now within months of actually moving people into the Well House. By October, the rooms will be finished, cleaned and furnished. Our big issue is there is still no electricity and no water. We expect to have the well drilled this summer and we can use our generator for necessary electrical needs until electricity comes to our neighborhood. The delay is the cost of the... read more
Drought To Flood In A Single Day
The health survey at the Senkele school was finished last Thursday afternoon. Over 400 children and some 50-60 adults were seen. The normal distribution of maladies was found among the children; plus some very serious diseases, such as Tuberculosis, HIV, and diabetes. We had no capability to treat these more serious diseases, but could get them referred to a Ethiopian government health... read more
